Kira has been doing wood art since 2017

In 2016, I stumbled upon the mesmerizing world of Pyrography, igniting a newfound passion within me. That year, for our family's Secret Santa exchange, I eagerly requested a woodburning tool, marking the beginning of an artistic journey that would shape my creative path.

As I delved deeper into the art form, I found myself seamlessly blending painting with woodburning, gradually honing my skills to produce more intricate pieces. With each stroke, my fascination grew, prompting me to seek an upgraded tool the next Christmas, a testament to my evolving dedication.

Then, a serendipitous encounter with resin art captured my imagination, unveiling a whole new realm of artistic expression. Witnessing the breathtaking fusion of resin and wood by fellow artists fueled my determination to explore this captivating medium.

I also began to revisit my past, where one of my first jobs had been working in a T-shirt printing shop. I combine my love of graphic arts to create custom shirts, or other fabric and ceramic applications.

Amidst the whirlwind of life—raising three children and embracing a homesteading lifestyle on our five-acre sanctuary in Loudoun County, VA—finding time for my art proved challenging. Yet, through perseverance and unwavering passion, I carved out precious moments to immerse myself in creativity.

Now, as I begin new artistic endeavors, my husband has even joined in with laser engraving! I am filled with excitement to breathe life into fresh concepts while also revisiting the cherished techniques of my past. To all who have supported me along this transformative journey, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Together, let us embark on this next chapter of artistic exploration with boundless enthusiasm and creativity.

Each piece is as unique as we are.

What I love about pyrography, and all wood art, is that no two pieces can ever truly be the same. Each piece of wood has it’s own personality. Some pieces seem to inspire the art themselves with the way their grain moves!

Pyrography

I offer custom pieces, made by hand, to commemorate special occasions, or could be the perfect gift. Some smaller pieces may be easier to do with a laser engraver, instead of by hand, and I will always let you choose which you would like for our custom project!

Resin Art

From molds to create coasters, to unique paint pours finished with resin for that perfectly sheen look, resin art is simply beauiful!

Engraving

I have invested in a large laser engraver which allows me to make some of my designs in mass! My husband, Tyler, has also honed his own skills making beautiful slate coasters and signs!
